In Palermo there is a great number of historic buildings that attest the evolution of the Gothic- Renaissance Style. We have lots of representation of that period, because of the churches and buildings with the same elegant and delicate details.

Casa dei Padri Olivetani

  • It's a complex divided into the Badia delle Benedettine and the Ancient complex of the Olivetan Congregation (of the 17th century). This complex embraces also the ex-Church of the Santissima Maria Annunziata.

San Nicolò da Tolentino

Sant'Agostino

Palazzo Abbatellis

  • Palazzo Abbatellis (also known as Palazzo Patella) is located in Alloro Street, in the Kalsa neighborhood of Palermo. It is home to the Regional Gallery of Art. The palace was designed by Matteo Carnelivari and is an example of Gothic Architecture.

Palazzo Marchesi

Santa Maria della catena

  • The church was built between the 1490 and the 1520, designed by Matteo Carnilivari. The name derives from the presence, on one of the walls, of a chain (Italian: catena) .
